This wonderstone's natural image evokes an oasis in the desert. Through history and across cultures, pools of water have represented renewal, refreshment, purification, and healing.
While the term "wonderstone" is applied to a variety of rocks, this particular specimen features the natural banded colors associated with the Salina, Utah area where it was collected. This wonderstone is a type of rhyolite created by layers of welded and compressed volcanic matter and formed over millions of years.
