VERMEIL is a type of demi-fine jewelry made with a layer of 14K gold plated over sterling silver. Vermeil offers the look of solid 14k jewelry without the price tag. Because the core material is sterling silver, it's also a great option for those with allergies to base metals.
14K GOLD-FILL is made by pressure and heat-bonding a thick layer of 14K gold over brass. This results in a tarnish-resistant piece that’s longer-lasting than gold-plated and more affordable than solid 14K gold.
To clean, wash with mild soap and water and gently pat dry with a non-abrasive cloth. Do not use jewelry cleansers or polishing cloths with compounds on vermeil chain or jewelry.
